Summary
As of September 4, 2009, wineries with a direct shipper licensee may ship up to 12 cases to a receipient address in Maine during a calendar year. The license fee is $200 plus a $100 application fee. Direct Shippers must register with the Department of Revenue, pay sales and excise tax and file reports twice a year.

There is a limit on the volume of wine that can be sent in a single shipment to a consumer.
Shipments to this region have a per shipment volume limit of 12 cases for both onsite and offsite sales.
