Limited Direct Shipping. As of July 1, 2001, W.S. 12-2-04 allows properly licensed out-of-state-shippers to ship wine to Wyoming consumers and licensed retailers under limited circumstances. Licensed out-of-state shippers may ship up to 2 cases (18 liters) of manufactured wine directly to any one household within any twelve month period. Prior to sending any shipment to any household or licensed retailer in Wyoming, the out-of-state shipper must file an application with the Department of Revenue Liquor Division, pay the $50.00 license fee, provide proof of current alcoholic liquor or malt beverage license issued in your state of domicile, provide other information to the Department of Revenue Liquor Division as may be required, and obtain on out-of-state shipper's license from the Department of Revenue Liquor Division. Shipping requires the following: Wyoming Direct Shipment license application Wyoming Registration Information Wyoming Tax Reporting Form The licensed out-of-state shipper must remit a tax of twelve percent of the retail price of each wine shipment to the Department of Revenue Liquor Division, file a monthly report no later than the 10th of the month following the month of shipment, attach copies of the invoices for each wine shipment coming into Wyoming- indicate volume shipped per household, and maintain records for at least 3 years and permit the division to audit records.
Customer Aggregate Volume Limit
There is a limit on volume of total shipments from a winery to each consumer over a specified period of time.
This region has a limit of 2 cases per householdper year for combined onsite and offsite sales with the following exception: A case must not exceed 9 liters., rule is on fiscal year basis from July 1- June 30 every year .
